📜 About this temple
சுமார் 500 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் வைகை ஆற்றில் வெள்ளம் கரைபுரண்டு ஓடியது. அதில் பெட்டி ஒன்று மிதந்து வந்தது. பெட்டியை பார்த்த ஒரு சமூகத்தினர் பெட்டி தங்களுக்கு சொந்தம் என்றும், மற்றொரு சமூகத்தினர் பெட்டிக்குள் உள்ள பொருட்கள் தங்களுக்கு சொந்தம் என்றனர். அங்கு மீன் பிடித்த சிலர் பெட்டியை தூக்கி வந்து ஒரு இடத்தில் வைத்தனர் (தற்போது கோயில் உள்ள இடம்). பெட்டியை திறந்து பார்த்தபோது, அதில் (21) சுவாமி, அம்மன் சிலைகள் (செம்பு) இருந்தன கூறப்படுகிறது. அது முதல் இப்பகுதியில் வழிபாடு துவங்கியது.
அதிசயத்தின் அடிப்படையில்: வாலகுருநாத சுவாமியும், அங்காள ஈஸ்வரியும் ஒரே மூலஸ்தானத்தில் அருள்பாலிப்பது சிறப்பு.
