Pranic Healing Nadi Mantra

प्राणिक हीलिङ्ग नाडी मन्त्र
Also known as: Nadi Shuddhi, Channel Purification, Energy Pathways
§ 01
Origin & Tradition

About this mantra

The Pranic Healing Nadi Mantra is a dhyana mantra used for the purification of the nadis, the subtle energy channels of the body. According to the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali (2.46–2.52), the nadis are the conduits through which prana (life force) flows, and their purification is essential for the steady posture and breath control that precede deeper meditative states. The Shiva Samhita (2.1–2.13) describes 72,000 nadis, with the three principal ones being ida, pingala, and sushumna. This mantra is chanted to cleanse all nadis, remove blockages, and balance the flow of prana, thereby promoting physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

The mantra often incorporates the bija 'Om' and may include syllables such as 'Hrim' or 'Kshraum' to activate the subtle channels. Traditional practice recommends chanting this mantra 108 times daily, preferably during the brahma muhurta (pre-dawn hours) or before pranayama (breath control) exercises. It is also used in conjunction with nadi shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) to enhance the cleansing effect. The primary deity associated is Prana Devata, the divine personification of life force, though some traditions invoke the goddess Kundalini or Lord Shiva as the supreme consciousness residing in the sushumna.

Cautions: This mantra should be chanted with proper pronunciation and intention, as it directly affects the subtle energy body. It is advisable to receive initiation (diksha) from a qualified guru before regular practice, especially if combined with kundalini awakening techniques. The mantra is not recommended for those with severe mental imbalances without guidance. Regular chanting is believed to bestow vitality, mental clarity, emotional stability, and spiritual progress by harmonizing the energy channels.
