Akarshan Mantra

आकर्षण मन्त्र
Also known as: Dhana Akarshan Mantra, Vashikaran Mantra (Wealth), Sampatti Akarshan

About

The Akarshan Mantra is a class of Tantric incantations designed to attract wealth, prosperity, and favorable opportunities. The term 'akarshan' (आकर्षण) means 'attraction' or 'drawing toward oneself,' and these mantras are employed to invoke the energies of deities such as Lakshmi, Kubera, and Kamadeva to bring material abundance and success. The primary textual sources for these mantras are the Tantras, particularly the Akarshan Vidya and various Agamas, which prescribe specific seed syllables (bija-aksharas) to achieve the desired effect. The most prominent bija in these mantras is 'Kleem' (क्लीं), which is associated with Kamadeva, the god of desire and attraction, and is believed to magnetize the practitioner's intentions. Additionally, 'Shreem' (श्रीं) invokes Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, and 'Hreem' (ह्रीं) represents the cosmic energy of manifestation. According to the Mantra Mahodadhi, a key Tantric compendium, the combination of these bijas in mantras like 'Om Hreem Shreem Kleem Mam Akarshaya Akarshaya Swaha' creates a powerful resonance that aligns the practitioner's aura with the frequencies of abundance. The traditional purpose of the Akarshan Mantra is to remove financial obstacles, attract business opportunities, and ensure a steady flow of income. It is often chanted during auspicious times such as Dhanteras and Akshaya Tritiya, which are considered highly favorable for wealth-related rituals. Recommended chanting practice includes reciting the mantra 108 times daily, preferably during the waxing moon phase (shukla paksha), in a clean and quiet space. Practitioners may use a copper or crystal rosary (mala) to count repetitions. While these mantras are powerful, caution is advised: they should not be used with selfish or harmful intent, as Tantric traditions emphasize ethical conduct. The Devi Mahatmya warns that misuse of attraction mantras can lead to karmic repercussions. Therefore, it is recommended to perform the chanting with a pure heart and for the welfare of all beings. The iconography associated with this mantra visualizes a magnetic field of golden light drawing wealth from all directions, symbolizing the universal attraction of prosperity.
