Prapti Siddhi Mantra

प्राप्ति सिद्धि मन्त्र
Also known as: Attainment, Manifestation, Achievement
§ 01
Origin & Tradition

About this mantra

The Prapti Siddhi Mantra is a sacred formula for attaining prapti-siddhi, the yogic power to acquire or manifest anything. According to the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali (3.45-46), prapti is one of the eight major siddhis (vibhutis) arising from mastery over the elements and the senses. This mantra is traditionally associated with the deities Lakshmi and Kubera, who govern material abundance and prosperity. The Puranas, such as the Skanda Purana, describe that chanting this mantra with devotion invokes the grace of these deities to remove obstacles and fulfill desires.

The mantra's beej-akshara (seed syllable) is often 'Om' or 'Hreem', which represent the primordial sound and the energy of attraction. Phonetically, the repetition of 'Praptaye' aligns the chanter's vibration with the cosmic principle of attainment. The traditional purpose of this mantra is to cultivate the ability to manifest one's intentions, whether for spiritual progress or material well-being. It is chanted for the fulfillment of all desires, the acquisition of wealth, and the removal of poverty.

Recommended chanting context includes early morning or during the waxing moon phase, with a count of 108 repetitions using a rudraksha or crystal mala. The ritual setting may involve a clean space, an image of Lakshmi or Kubera, and offerings of flowers or incense. Cautions: This mantra should be chanted with pure intentions and without attachment to results, as misuse for selfish gain may lead to karmic repercussions. It is advised to seek guidance from a qualified guru before intensive practice, as the siddhi of prapti can be destabilizing if not balanced with spiritual discipline.

The mantra is also linked to the concept of 'yogic powers' described in the Bhagavata Purana (11.15), where prapti is listed among the siddhis attained through devotion and meditation.
